BILD Operating Costs

BILD is a highly efficient organization that has baseline operating costs

of approximately $25,000 per year.

$25,000 covers all of the annual costs for 2 full time personnel, an

accountant, part-time staff, volunteer expenses, an office, phone,

internet, storage space, utilities, up to 4 vehicles, drivers, fuel, and

miscellaneous expenses.

BILD receives a significant amount of its funding from the non-profit

As part of BILD’s commitment to transparency, we now present to you

These baseline expenses are the foundation upon which BILD delivers 10’s of thousands of dollars worth of equipment, material, and services to frontline projects helping the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina rebuild their lives and their communities. (development , service program  , good will projects , reconciliation  , education  )

When implementing a large project such as the $135,000 World Bank-funded project “Nova Inicijativa”, we convert our volunteers into part-time staff, convert our part-time staff into full time staff, or hire staff from a pool of candidates who have participated in prior projects and have a working understanding of our work ethic and values.

**  Note 2

In 2005, BILD donated a brand new Kia van to its implementing partner Feniks. In return, as needed, Feniks provides the van with a driver to BILD projects. On average, BILD needs the van 5 or 6 times per month. In addition, since 2004, BILD has an agreement with TUZAMK, an implementing partner, which provides BILD with full daily use of a Land Rover jeep and as needed a Toyota pick-up and a Passat station wagon. On average, BILD needs the jeep everyday; the Toyota or Passat about once or twice per month. BILD provides funds for the insurance and registration for the Land Rover Jeep and when using the Toyota or Passat pays for the driver. In all cases, BILD pays for fuel.
